EQUITANA Auckland 2019 was a great opportunity for us to return as Educators with Cassidy and Maverick, as well as to have some fun in the Connexion Challenge which Russell and Maverick won. It was Cassidy's first time in an indoor venue and he coped really well with the atmosphere.

That is Equidays 2019 over for another year and we had a great time.  Russell did clinics each day, rode in the charity Jump for Cancer event, performed in the Saturday Night Show with Maverick and Maxwell and also rode as a Working Equitation demo rider on our Lusitano, Cassidy.  A great event yet again.

If you are heading to Equidays this year come and see us. We will have a booth in the foyer and Russell will be doing two demos a day, performing in the Saturday night show, Judging the Top Talent competition and being a demo rider to Sean Topsom's Working Equitation demo.  Don't worry, there's no dodgy wig and chest hair this year!!

Country Calender is a New Zealand Institution and we were very proud to be asked to take part in an episode on Brumby Farm and what we do. This show aired in April and for those of you that missed it here is the link to the episode on Youtube. I hope you enjoy it.

We had a hectic, but successful Equidays 2018 in North and South Island this year.  Russell was in the Night Show with Maverick and Maxwell at both events as well as in the Professional Division of the Top Talent competition which he won with his three horse liberty act as you would never have seen him before!!  Well, they did say "dress up" for it.

Breaking News!  We are planning a very special event at Brumby Farm in March next year to end the summer season. It will be a Horsemanship Tournament with $700 of cash prizes to be won. You can enter the individual events: "on-line challenges", "liberty challenges", "Freestyle Obstacle Challenges" and "Precision Riding Challenges". Each event will have its own winner and anyone who enters all four will be in the running to win the overall Tournament.  We will be running a practice day here at Brumby Farm the day before (Saturday 23rd March) so you can familiarise yourself with the environment and some of the challenges. Exciting news..... Russell will be performing in the night show at Equidays in both North and South Island as well as doing some clinician spots down in the South Island event. Follow our preparations for the event on Russell's professional FB page.

We have had a very skeptical little horse at Brumby Farm for starting. He is jumpy and nervous and very wary of humans and their intentions although he seems to really want to get along with us and learn. This short video shows Magnum's first ride outside the round pen.

We have added another clinic to our UK schedule. This will be a Green Horse Clinic held in East Anglia and will be open to horses that have been started under saddle but have less than 100 hours riding (roughly). Check out the Overseas Schedule for details.
